Today in Circle students talked about Valentine's Day. We discussed what makes some days more important than others. We learned that February 15 is the day that our Maple Leaf Canadian Flag was adopted. We decided that it was more important to celebrate Flag Day for us than Valentine's Day. So we will be celebrating Flag Day next Wednesday. In Math we worked on creating shapes and measuring them to find the total length of all sides. We learned that you need to measure from zero on a ruler because of the mistakes we made.
Homework: Research about the Canadian Flag. Ask your family if they remember Canada having a different flag.
